EVERY TUESDAY!

RECIPES: September 6

We’re sharing a few recipes sourced from 100 Days of Real Food, a project/cookbook/food blog about one family’s pledge to eat no processed food for 100 days, and their ongoing practice to eat real food on a real budget.

Lisa shared a new way to cook okra. developed by Amy of Greenbrier Farms. The okra is roasted rather than breaded and fried or boiled. It’s crispy and dry and Lisa says you might mistake it for french fries. Watch closely as you bake. She calls it “The Best Okra I’ve Ever Had.”

Try this for fall: a pumpkin spice drink without chemicals:
Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate (or Mocha or Latte)

If okra or pumpkin don’t appeal to you, Lisa has many great ideas for school lunches and slow-cooker meals. Check out the recipe index on her website or the Facebook page.
