The Beaverdale Farmers Market Board of Directors is working on a plan to open the market this year on June 2, 2020. Iowa’s Farmers Markets have always been an important and necessary link with our food producers and our prepared food producers and we want to continue the tradition. In light of Covid-19, we are currently finalizing our plans on how to best do this in a safe manner. Be assured that at a minimum we will be following the Iowa government’s recommended guidelines as outlined in the Governor’s Proclamation issued April 24, 2020, including, selling only farm products and food; requiring more than six feet vendor spacing, following social distancing, hygiene and other public health measures (including providing hand washing/sanitizing stations), requesting vendors/customers who have been ill or show signs of illness from entering the market, and prohibiting entertainment, common seating and other social activities. While we recognize that market experience will be vastly different this year, we pledge to do our best to ensure a positive and healthy experience for our vendors and customers.  Watch our website and Facebook page for more information.
