Carl and the Hamiltones
Carl & the Hamiltones was founded in 2014 by seven members of a middle school jazz band to expand their musicianship and playing ability. Through local gigs at community events such as farmers’ markets, retirement communities, school expos, breweries and more, the Hamiltones became a staple of suburban jazz entertainment. Even though none of the members are full-time musicians, they made it a priority to continue playing in college and beyond. The current iteration of the combo has 5 members, but as many as 30 local musicians have performed under the Hamiltones banner. The Hamiltones focus on small group jazz as well as branching into more modern funk and rock charts.
